With three hundred hours of video uploaded to YouTube every minute, six thousand tweets sent a second, and ninety-five million Instagram photos uploaded every day, we live in a very noisy world. One of the best ways to encounter God and grow in faith is through beauty, which requires silence and stillness in our lives. Whether it is the glory of creation, the intimacy of the sacraments, or even the redemption that comes through suffering, God is constantly speaking to us through beauty. In era of relativism, God also speaks powerfully through the beauty of our lives and inspires others to come to faith by our witness.
