This session seeks to examine core lessons from Navy SEAL training and apply it to the spiritual life. The session will be presented by two speakers: Fr. Paul Kostka, a U.S. Navy chaplain and Captain John Doolittle, a retired Navy SEAL. They will highlight the importance of a number of core values. First, the importance of never quitting and the value of perseverance. Second, the importance of hard work and discipline in the spiritual life. Third, the importance of living a selfless life especially through the example of Petty Officer Second Class Mike Monsoor, a SEAL killed in combat, and Saint Maximilian Kolbe.
