We gather tonight as one church from many places. We bring our uniqueness and diversity and stand before the cross that unites us. The cross on the main stage is modeled after the Cross of St. Benedict. As we journey together throughout NCYC, we will celebrate the mystery of Jesus’ death and resurrection and our own call to take up our cross and follow Jesus. We ask each participant to bring a small cross that will be blessed during this session. It should fit in a pocket and can be made of any material. Participants will carry their crosses during NCYC as a reminder to follow Christ.
